Chickens are social birds who live together in flocks, often sharing food and nests. They are curious, interesting, and as smart as cats, dogs, and even some primates. Yet, in the United States alone, more than 7 billion chickens are killed for their flesh each year, and 452 million hens are used for their eggs. On factory farms, baby chickens are never even allowed contact with their parents!
The next time that you think about ordering chicken nuggets, remember the precious photos below and consider that if chicks could speak, each one would probably cry out, “I am not a nugget!”

I LLOOOVVEEE chickens. We have chickens and ducks(we use them for bug and snake control) and I love seeing the new chickies and duckies hatching all the time. It is truly miraculous to watch them hatch after all the waiting.
