Hometown: I'm a military kid. I was born in Fort Hood, Texas, and have lived in Hollywood, Florida; Columbia, South Carolina; and then Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Fave bands: MGMT, fun., and The Killers would be my top three, but I love a lot of indie and electric-pop bands. I also just recently got into electronic dance music, so I often have Zedd on, and Pretty Lights is another favorite of mine.
About me: I'm an only child, and I'm pretty much a flower child at heart or a dirty hippie, whichever you prefer. I'm probably the most sarcastic person you'll ever meet, and sometimes people just don't get that. (It's too bad, 'cause I think I'm hilarious.) I was a competitive dancer for 10 years and a competitive cheerleader for three, but most of the time these days, you'll find me outdoors with the love of my life, Budeey (yes, that's how it's spelled), my little rescued dachshund mix. He's totes adorbs.
I love: My dog, duh. I have a huge obsession with Chipotle and fashion and an even bigger obsession with Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars. Oh, and my BIGGEST obsession? Yeah, The Hunger Games.
I dislike: People who talk the talk but don't walk the walk, liars, and hypocrites. You don't wanna get on my bad side. I'm lookin at you, Mary Kay. Slow Internet. People who don't think bunnies are the most precious animals on the planet—cows come in a close second, tied with my dog. Poachers.
Tattoos: I have a tattoo on my wrist that says "ahimsa," meaning nonviolence or to live with the least harm possible, and I have a Celtic knot heart on the back of my arm in remembrance of my mom. They won't be my last, though.
Why I went vegan: I originally went vegan when I was in sixth grade, but that age is hard, and we didn't have the awesome support team that is peta2.com back then, but afterward, I still didn't eat a whole lot of meat, 'cause there are veggie burgers everywhere! After high school, I decided to stop eating meat altogether because I love all animals. I had seen some of the undercover videos of factory farms over the years, and the issue was always weighing on my conscience and in the back of my mind. I've never looked back since!
Is it true you're always in a dress? Yes! Or a skirt. I hate pants.
