Being friends with us is one of those “everyone who is anyone” sort of things. Add peta2 as your friendster and join the revolution.
The ad Tommy Lee shot for us is getting press pretty much everywhere in the history of press. According to New York Magazine, as Tommy was leaving the photo shoot in his limo…
Lee was approached by a homeless man who was shouting, “I love drums! I love Tommy! Can I have two dollars?” Lee rolled down his window, thumbed through his wallet, pulled out a $100 bill and said, “Dude, here’s a hundred, go nuts. Just don’t buy KFC.”
Have you seen Tommy’s reality show? Wow his roommate is really goofy.
As we speak, folks here at PETA HQ are putting the finishing touches on “Wake Up Screaming,” peta2’s Warped Tour documentary. The film follows peta2 staffer Jason Bayless as he makes his way across the country with extreme documentary film team Dave Bergthold of Blockhead Skateboards and pro-skateboarder Laban Pheidias. Check out WakeUpScreamingMovie.com for some exclusive photos and video trailers, as well as Jason’s blog with updates from the road.
We need a hand from all you artistic folks to help launch peta2’s first film. We want you to make buddy icons, avatars, and Web banners for “Wake Up Screaming” that we can include on our site. Use a photo or two from WakeUpScreamingMovie.com, come up with some interesting text, and voila! Be sure you include “WakeUpScreamingMovie.com” somewhere in your artwork, and please try to use animation if possible.
Send your completed buddy icons, avatars, and banners to me at NoahC@peta2.com. The best designs will be added to our “Online Activism” section and WakeUpScreamingMovie.com!
Are you all as excited to see the movie as I am? Here’s a little clip of Jason saving an animal during one of the Warped stops in the jungle.
