When fashion designer Donna Karan unveiled her spring 2009 DKNY collection this Sunday at New York’s Fashion Week, PETA was there with a protest outside and a bit of a surprise inside.
Some of my friends took over Donna Karan’s runway show armed with signs that read, “Donna: Dump Fur,” and chanting, “Shame!” Check out a photo and read some more here.
They were protesting because Karan used rabbit fur in her collection that is in stores now—despite her promise to stop using fur. The two protesters were quickly taken from the catwalk and arrested, but their message was almost impossible to ignore.
Is Donna Karan living in the Ice Age? Geez! Drop the fur, Donna! You’re not trying to dress cave people.
