In case you haven’t heard yet, peta2 kind of made up our own holiday: This Friday, September 29, is international “Hug a Vegetarian” Day. Our goal is to set a world record for the most vegetarian hugs on one single day in history. Yeah, I know, sounds fun, right? Thing is, we can’t do it ourselves, since there are only a handful of us peta2 folk, so we’re asking all of you to help make it happen. Here’s a step-by-step explanation:
1) Click here to sign up to hug. Tell us who you plan on hugging. If you aren’t vegetarian yourself, you surely know a vegetarian or two, so hug them. As long as one person in the hug is vegeterian (or vegan), it counts.
2) Use this form to send a message to your friends asking them to come sign up to hug, too. We’re not fucking around – we’re going for a world record here, so send it to as many people as you possible can.
3) Use one of these Web banners on your page, in a comment on your friends’ pages, whatever, to spread the word about the best holiday ever.
