International Human Rights Day is Monday December 10th according to the United Nations. When I was in college I designed my own major to study the connections between all forms of exploitation so I’m glad I have your attention for a couple minutes.
To help observe this day, I hope you will check out some of the info below to learn about the connections between violence towards people and that inflicted upon billions of animals worldwide. Remember that no one wants to be victimized. No one deserves to suffer for others’ greed. Everyone should be given an opportunity to enjoy life without oppressing others. It’s pathetic that there are actually people who make a living off selling the products of misery. I don’t know how they can wake up every morning and look in the mirror knowing their pockets are padded with blood money.
The beauty of helping animals is that you’re also helping yourself and your family and the environment (seriously, just ask the United Nations), too!
The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.-Gandhi
Happy (early) International Human Rights Day to everyone! Special thanks to all the Street Teammembers for doing such a great job with everything.
