After PETA learned that J.Crew plans to include garments made with real fur this fall, we immediately contacted Margot Brunelle, Head of Brand Marketing & PR, reminding her that only last year, she wrote to PETA saying that “J.Crew does not currently include fur in its collections nor does it plan to” and asking her to put this ugly rumor to rest.
PETA also sent Ms. Brunelle and J.Crew Chair & CEO Millard Drexler a video containing recently released footage from a yearlong undercover investigation on fur farms in China, where most fur comes from – compelling evidence that selling fur means endorsing cruelty beyond imagination.
In response, PETA was contacted by a public relations company representing J.Crew, which stated that J.Crew “will not confirm or deny any rumors about its future product line.” We can only assume this means that J.Crew does intend to sell fur.
Animals need your help. Please let J.Crew know that not only is it bad business to promise one thing and do another, it is also totally unacceptable to support and promote this violent industry. Urge the company to make the compassionate decision not to include fur in its fall line:

Tim From As I Lay Dying
As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis had a nice little sit-down-and-talk session with peta2 about the wastefulness of Americans, especially in regard to how we use and abuse animals needlessly. Tim makes a good point about wearing fur: besides the terrible cruelty behind the fur industry, just imagine how much good could be done with the money spent on all the tacky fur and fur-trimmed garments that are sold in stores such as Wet Seal. Watch the video interview with Tim for the rest of what he had to say.
