I’ve been vegetarian for almost two years. But before that, I ate meat from local farms, bought free range chickens/eggs, as well as organic foods, though that has nothing to do with being veggie… Adopting my rescued dog from the shelter made me feel that ALL animals should be treated equal to humans. I watched the movie Food Inc. Even though I already knew much of what happened in factory farms. But this lifestyle could have never happened if it weren’t for my mom. She educated me at a young age about info other moms would be too afraid to let their kids know. I’m now in 7th grade and teaching this hidden information to my fellow friends and classmates, and will be cutting class this year when science class dissects the poor frogs…

you guys have acutally helped me make the choice to become a vegetarian. After seeing everything that is done to all of these animals just kills me. Ever since I was little I walways wanted to be part of the ASPCA and that’s what I am going to school for(: I wanted to do whatever it took to help these poor animals that don’t have the strength to help themselfes. Also the video “Food Ink” and “Meet your Meat” and many more just killed me inside. I had to change. The first thing I gave up was McDonalds that was two years ago. And I’m so glad I will never eat there again. Also bands, that are strong enough to aslp do this, and show there care help me keep moving. I thank you guys everyday for posting stuff on this site and emailing me about the things that people are doing. I do everything in my power to help. This band also trying to do this, really gives the me most help. This band has been my favorite for a little over a year now, and they are such good people. So to know they want to help all these animals to. I always remind myself to never give up on my one dream to stop animal abuse<3 so thank you Peta, and thanks you EVERYY band out there that is also on this path in life. One day all this abuse will end. I do believe we can beat these people in there own games. Let's help the helpless!

What made me go vegetarian is how cruel it is to torture and eat animals. I have always been in love with animals but my family said i needed the meat. One day i got the strength to eat animals anymore. I have never felt so great. I love my lifestyle and i will always be vegan. (:

The fact that I could save lives geared me to become vegetarian. I started when I was 13 and am now 14 and I feel great. I’m on my way to becoming vegan and I’m slowly becoming stronger and more energized everyday.

I’ve been a vegetarian since 2006. The PETA “Meet Your Meat” video was a huge factor in my decision to go vegetarian – I couldn’t watch it without crying, and it took me about a month to get through the whole video in bits and pieces. Another decisive factor was the realisation that I would never consider eating my own dogs and cats and birds – so why should a cow or a chicken be any different? They’re all animals and it should be considered a basic human duty to protect them, and I fee like I’m doing my part by choosing to eat carrot sticks instead of chicken fingers.

i’m a new Vegan 8 months 🙂 what inspired me was a feild trip that changed my life. we visited the john morrel slaughter house in My hometown of Sioux Falls, SD…i saw pigs hung by their ankles and cows cowering and mooing in fear. i ran out and started bawling i couldn’t take seeing an animal in pain like that. what really got me was how excited my teacher was. he said he couldn’t wait to bite into a delicious ham and i litterally threw up. then i visited peta2. com i heard about from a friend and realized how easy it was to go vegan and i’ve never felt happer or healthier in my whole life:) i even rescued a pig from my cousins farm who was going to be transported to the slaughter house he is now my pet and his name is curly and he’s so happy living with me 🙂

I’ve been vegetarian for 2 and a half years now. funnily enough, It was from watching meet your meat. I had alsways wanted to be a vegetarian, but my household is very carnivorous, and it was nearly impossible. I finally got the courage after watching that video, and I havent had meat or milk or eggs since.
