New mission and Warped Tour updates
Today we’ve got a new leafleting mission for all you outgoing Street Teamers.
We want all the health conscious folks out there to know that fad diets won’t get rid of a big belly, but going vegetarian will definitely help your body. Your mission: tell people to Take Control of their lives!
Now, for some updates from the road, here’s what’s been going on with the Warped Tour:
Saturday’s show in Dallas saw rain pretty much all day. The kids seemed to have fun though, and our peta2 staffers even got to watch some Texas mud wrestling. WOO-HOO!
On Sunday, San Antonio had equally bad weather, including some pretty intense lightning. Several tents were flooded and lightning struck a Warped Tour structure. Warped lost power for several hours, but luckily it was early enough that things could be patched up before the show got under way. Once doors opened, Street Teamers Chris and Barbara helped to make it yet another crazy day of tabling and spray-painting.
Yesterday the tour rolled into Houston after being postponed on Friday. Two Street Teamers, Tiffany and Sarah, grabbed the stencils and spray paint and hit everyone one they could for about an hour. It drew a huge crowd and got tons of people to sign up for PETA2.
