Recipe of the Week: Pepperoni Pizza!
Anxiously awaiting the new theme for our “Recipe of the Week” blog series? You better sit down for this one, because this month … is all about … PIZZA! :O
I decided to start us out this month with the classiest of pizzas—traditional pepperoni and cheese (it’ll make all your dreams come true). What is vegan pepperoni pizza good for, you ask? That’s easy—sleepovers, pizza parties, field trip lunches, your late night study sesh—I could go on and on.
My fave way to eat vegan pepperoni pizza is with my good ol’ friend Soda Pop, and my other good friend New Release Movie. We see each other about once a week.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 pizza crust (I used Rustic Crust “Organic Great Grains” variety)
- 3/4 cup pizza sauce (store brand will do—as long as it’s vegan, it’s good)
- 1 bag of vegan mozzarella style cheese (I used Daiya mozzarella)
- 1/2 box of vegan pepperoni slices (I used Smart Deli pepperoni)
First, you’ll want to preheat your oven to 450 degrees. While you’re waiting for the oven to warm up, take out your crust and add the pizza sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. Pop that baby in the oven for about ten minutes, and you’ve got yourself a delicious pizza.
Be sure to check back next week to see what pizza Rachel has in the works!
P.S. Don’t forget to turn the oven off when you’re done—don’t want you to catch the house on fire!
