Mmmm, I love breakfast foods! In fact, right now I’m snackin’ on leftover tofu scramble, fried potatoes, and vegan sausage from last night’s brinner (yep, I said it!). This week’s Street Teamer Recipe of the Week blog is from Danielle, who regularly dishes on delish vegan food on her blog. Take it away, Danielle!
Vegan french toast, you ask? Impossible! How on EARTH can you make French toast without eggs? Well, actually, it’s pretty easy. All you need are a few ingredients from your pantry and BAM (Emeril Lagasse) you have vegan French toast. Give it a shot! They’re delicious and can appease any meat eater. In fact, they’ll be so busy shkoffing these babies down that they won’t even question whether or not there are eggs in them!

Here’s what you’ll need:
Preheat and spray a nonstick skillet. Keep it on medium heat. In a shallow bowl, mix your wet and dry ingredients together. Dip each slice of bread in the mixture, pan-fry in your well-sprayed pan until each side is nice and brown (about 5-8 minutes, but check!). Serve warm with syrup and berries!

Well let's just say life ain't always beautiful but it's a beautiful ride. I love all my pets and would do anything for them. I have one dog, two cats, a ferret and my babygirl shaymin,(the cutest hedgehog alive) I'm into all different kinds of music. I'm a singer myself and love art.
Father loves to farm, be self sustainable, loves to read, he's a antiques/vintage auctioneer, art student, and looks like mr. Rogers. My mother is a Montessori teacher and is amazing with children, all about local organic foods, loves gardening, cooking etc. my sister who is nine years older than me was into indie music and introduced me to all sorts of things at a young age. This all rubbed of on me and from that base I grew into similar things. I'm an INFJ
I'm tall, a geek, nacho - obsessed, I love sewing and Cath Kidston, also I'm vegetarian (wannabe vegan.)
I love animals about as much as rock, heavy metal, tea, and coffee. Hoping to make a difference and help animals through PETA!!!
I want to get into marketing but not have to rely on people which have different morals and worldviews than I do to hire me. While I'm figuring this out, I want to show everyone what I believe in and spur them into action against injustices.
I am Angela. When I am not helping animals I am listening to music, reading, or playing video games. My spirit animal is a fox and I love nature. What else is there to know? Want to know anything about me, need advice or anything message me :)

Hey guys! Yep, any non-dairy milk will work in this recipe (I just use almond, myself). As for the chickpea flour, I think it gives it a bit of an eggy taste. I haven’t tried it with other flours yet – give it a try with another type of flour and see how it works out!

Chelle, you can most likely use soy milk, I’m not sure about the chickpea flour, though.

I was wondering the same thing as Chelle, will any vegan dairy substitute work?

sweet recipe!
but i’m allergic to almonds (and pretty much all other nuts) and chickpeas so is there anything else I could use as a substitute?
