The fall semester is in full swing, and high-school seniors across America are narrowing down their list of schools to apply to. Well, have no fear—peta2 is here to help!
We have just unveiled this year’s list of the Most Vegan-Friendly Colleges in the U.S., and the competition is tougher than ever—which is good news for those currently, or soon to be, in college.
The number of college students who identify themselves as vegetarian has risen by 50 percent since 2005, and the number of vegan students has more than doubled during the same period. This has resulted in a dramatic increase in the variety of vegan foods available—many of which didn’t even exist five years ago.
Click on the bracket below to check out all of this year’s nominees and to vote for your favorites!* Many schools also include pictures of their food, so have your drool bucket handy.
Did we miss a school? Think we made the wrong call on your university? Share your feedback in the comments below!
*The winners of each round as well as the ultimate winner will be chosen by peta2 based on four factors with equal weight: number of votes received, quality and variety of vegan food, schools’ enthusiasm in promoting their options, and student feedback. For complete contest details click here.
