The Latest From Warped.
The past week has been a busy one for our PETA2 staffers on the Warped Tour. In case you missed the tour when it came through your area, I’ll fill you in on what you missed.
Today we’ve got three new videos straight from the PETA2 tent! Pete from Yellowcard and Adam from Story of the Year stopped in to sign some autographs. As you can see in the second video, Ian from New Found Glory also joined in the fun. Our good buddies from Rise Against came by the tent also. The new Rise Against album, “Siren Song of the Counter Culture” has a free PETA2 “Question Authority” booklet in every CD. Gotta love those guys!
Jayce from Spell Toronto stopped by to lend a hand for animals. Jayce believes in leading by example, so he made sure to sign up for the PETA2 e-news while he was at the table.
Silverstein spent yet another day at the tent signing autographs and educating the kids at Warped Tour about how easy it is to go vegetarian. PETA2 staffer Amanda even signed a few autographs herself. Later, Silverstein sang happy birthday to Mallory, an adoring fan. How sweet!
The Bouncing Souls stopped in to hang out with Jolinda, and they signed their fair share of autographs also.
Armed with the PETA2 Meat=Murder stencil, someone spraypainted a booth that featured several deer heads. This boy’s messenger bag also got stenciled. With “Love Me Don’t Eat Me” on his bag, he can spread the word everywhere he goes.
The winners of the Simple Plan contest are in!
Grand prize winners Valerie Hill, Damien Welch, and Nicole Harris will be receiving grab bags chock full of Role Model gear and a “blood”-soaked article of clothing that was actually worn by a band member at the PETA2 anti-fur photo shoot autographed by all five members of Simple Plan.
Runners-up R3 Haynik, Cristina Romanello, Joe Evans, and Lauren Ruhr are each going to be sent a goodie bag packed with free sweatshirts, T-shirts, and hats from Simple Plan’s clothing line, Role Model clothing.
