Top 5 Scrumptious Green Foods!
In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, we’ve rounded up five tasty and nutritious green foods. Don’t let these fruits and veggies fool you, though—these are all key ingredients in meals so delicious that you’ll want to eat green (literally) every meal of the day!
Check ’em out:
Avocados are high in fiber and potassium and rich in vitamins B, E, and K. You can use them in tons of recipes, including for wraps, burgers, pesto and salad. Oh, and you can use them to make hair masks too!
Spinach is a pot o’ gold (yep—I just wrote that) when it comes to nutrients: calcium, iron, magnesium … I don’t even have enough room to list them all, so you can find the rest here. And here are some recipes that include spinach: green eggs and ham, soy chorizo hash, stuffed shells, tofu-spinach manicotti, and hoagies!
Limes are a good source of potassium and vitamin C, and they’re delicious when freshly squeezed in water or on many savory dishes, including our chili-lime tofu wrap and tomato, avocado, and lime salad!
