It’s happened again! Yet another university has severed ties with SeaWorld. This time, it’s the University of California–Irvine, which has made the compassionate choice to side with orcas and end ticket sales to the cruel abusement park, thanks to our peta2 campus rep Cristina Tangreti.

First, California State University–Long Beach dropped ticket sales, and then Baylor University ended its alumni events. And now, students at the University of Central Florida, the University of California–Davis, and California State Polytechnic University–Pomona are working toward the same goal: getting their schools to cut ties with a company that confines intelligent, social animals to what amounts to a bathtub for orcas.
