Yep, you heard right. Today, May 5th marks the official launch of Starbucks customizable fraps, AKA: OMG VEGAN FRAPPUCINOS! This is just the latest in vegan-friendly additions Starbucks has been adding to its menu—including vegan cookies, snacks and now a vegan version of their popular summer drink.
P.S. Not sure what’s vegan at Starbucks? Clear or thin syrups are (peppermint, cherry, raspberry, vanilla, etc), as well as the mocha syrup. Watch out for any thick syrup (including the caramel drizzle) which contains milk. Baristas are usually pretty in the know, so if you’re not sure—ask!

Well let's just say life ain't always beautiful but it's a beautiful ride. I love all my pets and would do anything for them. I have one dog, two cats, a ferret and my babygirl shaymin,(the cutest hedgehog alive) I'm into all different kinds of music. I'm a singer myself and love art.

I work at Starbucks and the chocolate chips they use in double chocolatey frap and java chip frap are not vegan–they contain milk. Also, another issue, just like shesshakinxtwo said, ALL the frap bases and syrups minus the sugar-free ones have sugar in them which is more than likely processed with bone char(from animals) so there is still very little at starbucks that is truly vegan. I called Starbucks today to ask if they knew if the sugar they used was processed with bone char or if they could get me the contact information of the manufacturer of their sugar and they couldn’t. They said it was all proprietary information and weren’t privy to it. So it kinda sucks, but if you want to be sure, DO NOT drink the frappucinnos or syrups. Even the sugar-free syrups contain artificial sweeteners that were no doubt severely tested on animals. Stick with Sugar In The Raw to flavor your latte’s or spices that we have on the condiment bar.

These are made with soy milk instead of cow’s milk (AKA cruelty). They are vegan!

That’s strange, I always thought they gave the soymilk option with the frapps. When I used to get starbucks, I got the soymilk green tea frapp without whipped cream. It was vegan, right? o_O I’m confused now..
