Calling all awesome activists!

Feeling like your protests need a bit of sparkle? Need some eye-catching gear and props but don’t know where to look? This, my fellow freedom fighters, campaigner superstars, and animal heroes, is for you:

Let’s start with the basics: Posters and literature. Every demonstration needs them and you can always find them on our PETA Shop. When you hold up your “Boycott the Circus” sign people will easily understand what your event is all about.

Moving right along and I know what you’re thinking: Costumes! Costumes really get the party started. For those of you wanting to leave your options open and are leaning towards renting, check out CostumesGalore.net. From cows and bunnies, to turkeys and elephants, they got you covered (pun intended).

For just a little bit more green, you can spring for your very own costume. Remember, most registered college student groups have access to funding which you don’t want to miss out on! CostumeDiscounters.com has a nice selection and for less than a c-note your group can be the proud owner of this chicken costume. I’m telling you (from personal experience) a dancing chicken on campus will definitely keep the spotlight on your event. Chicken + sign = many photo ops = instant buzz and media attention. Score!

Let’s say you’ve done the dancing chicken and you want to spice things up a bit. Nothing says spice like a “bloody knife!” Pair that knife with this handy “jug of blood,” and you’ve got your Kentucky Fried Cruelty Colonel properly accessorized!

To really get the word out, a wearable TV screen surely does the trick. SpecialOpsPaintball.com would love to get you suited with a special-order TV-vest. Then you just need to pop in your iPad or portable DVD player, get “Glass Walls” running on loop, and voilà!

As always, hit me up with an email if you ever want to bounce ideas around. We love high schoolers too so if that’s you peta2@peta2.com is always there to help you out. And remember, we’re HUGE fans of demo pics so do send them our way!
