Too Graphic for TV: Rise Against Video

Joe Principe QuoteRise Against are no strangers to controversy. In the past, they let the world know that “Meat Is Murder” with their classic peta2 ad, and they were none too shy when it came to speaking out against animal abuse. Now this hardcore outfit from Chicago is making waves again, this time with their new music video for “Ready to Fall,” and they wanted peta2 to be the first to show you the version that you won’t see on TV.

We were more than happy to do so. You would be, too, after hearing how Chris Chasse described the video: “To me, this video shows everyone what goes on in the world and what people are doing to this planet and to animals. It’s basically a wake-up call to everyone to start paying attention.” With intense vocals spliced with raw footage of some of the most horrific animal abuse caught on tape, the video definitely gives the world a wake-up call. And you can only see it here.

Brandon Barnes QuoteTim McIlrath also had plenty to say about their new video: “It is the most important video Rise Against has ever made. This video transcends our band and our music and talks about a much bigger picture, a picture that affects each of us. I hope people check this video out and then share it with their friends and loved ones. We are all witnesses to the suffering that our planet and its people endure, and the only question now is: What will we do about it?” So do what Tim says and stand up for animals by passing along “Ready to Fall” to everyone you know.

To take it to another level, you can also stream the Rise Against video on your MySpace page or your blog to help make those who exploit animals get ready to fall …
