Your wings carry you across the Australian wilderness, passing grassland, thickets, and rivers. Then, you hear your parakeet friends below, nesting in the eucalyptus trees and singing to each other. You fly down to meet them, but then their songs turn into piercing cries. It grows louder, and louder, and then too loud for you to handle! You’re falling…and you wake up inside the parakeet graveyard, Creekside Birds.

A PETA investigation of Creekside Birds found wire cages coated with grime, litter crawling with maggots, and dead birds everywhere. With places like Petco having ties to this “parakeet graveyard,” it proves the unsettling truth: pet stores are only interested in how much money they can make, no matter the cost to animals’ health and well-being.
