If you’ve ever seen one of 15-year-old Recker Eans’ drumming videos on IG, you know he’s ultra-talented. Turns out, he’s ultra-compassionate, too—he teamed up with us to help spread the word about adopting animals! 👏👏

Recker has a dog named Skully and a cat named Freya, and we’re so glad he chose to adopt them instead of buying them. There are millions of homeless dogs and cats in the U.S., and buying an animal from a “pet” store or breeder adds to this scary number. Another animal will just be bred to replace the one who was bought. But when you adopt an animal from a shelter like Recker did, you help combat the overpopulation crisis by giving a homeless animal the safety, comfort, and love they need. 😇
