Mission: Get Your School to Drop Animal Dissection by Using Sticky Notes

Picture this: You’re washing your hands in the school bathroom when something catches your eye. It’s a sticky note on the paper towel dispenser, and it has a message written on it. What do you do? If you immediately read the message, same. 😅 It’s in our nature to be curious—which is why this is the perfect way to spread anti–animal dissection info at school!

Why Anti–Animal Dissection?

Dissecting animals sucks. Period. Millions of frogs, rats, minks, sharks, and others used for dissection are snatched from their homes in nature, bred in warehouses, or raised on fur farms every year. But even though each animal had a different backstory, they also had a lot in common—they all felt pain and fear, wanted to pursue their own interests, and valued their lives.

So cutting into their corpses? No, thanks. 🙅‍♀️ Not only is it cruel, it’s also really dumb. Students do just as well or better on tests when they use non-animal tools like SynFrog or eMind. Plus, you can actually repeat lessons as many times as you want using these methods.

It’s def time for your school to ditch animal dissection and switch to non-animal tools—and you can lead the way with sticky notes!

Why Sticky Notes?

Sticky notes are small and cheap—but they’re also super-powerful. Spreading written info is easy as (vegan) pie when you don’t need thumbtacks, tape, or bulletin boards. And since sticky notes are so tiny, you can put them up basically anywhere. (We’re talking bathroom stalls, locker room mirrors, library shelves—you name it.)

By leaving messages like “Animal dissection stinks,” “Don’t dissect animals,” “Visit peta2.com/dissection,” or “Use SynFrog, not real frogs” around your school, you can reach a huge audience and inspire others to hype humane methods. Once you have everyone buzzing about humane tools, your teachers will have every reason to ditch animal dissection. 👋

How Do I Start?

All you need to get started is a pack of sticky notes and a pen. Follow these three steps:

1. Write positive messages on your sticky notes to turn people off to animal dissection and on to humane tools.

2. Put the sticky notes in bathrooms, locker rooms, and other frequently visited places.

3. Take a pic of one of the sticky notes you’ve put up, sign in to your peta2 account, and submit the pic for 25 peta2 points in our Rewards Program.
