The Best Vegan and Cruelty-Free Lip Balms
It may come as a surprise that some lip balms aren’t vegan. Certain brands still use animal-derived substances like beeswax and lanolin (grease from cruelly obtained sheep’s wool that can be contaminated with nasty chemicals) to make their lip products. Sheep and bees need their wool and wax way more than our lips do. The good news is that there are tons of balm brands that make their products without exploiting animals. Here are PETA’s favorite vegan and cruelty-free lip balms:
Shea Moisture Fruit Fusion Vegan Lip Butterstick

CannaSmack Plain Mary Jane Lip Balm

Eco Lips’ Bee Free Vegan Lip Balm
Sugar Venom Cosmetics Eco Lip Balm
Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Balm Gloss
