When we decided to interview singer-songwriter Braden Barrie (aka SayWeCanFly) using questions submitted by you—the fans!—on Twitter, the response was pretty much overwhelming. It’s clear that Braden means a heck of a lot to a whole lot of people.

Braden’s brand of heart-on-your-sleeve indie pop has garnered comparisons to Never Shout Never (another peta2 fave) and gained a rapidly growing fan base across the U.S. and his native Canada.

Did your Twitter question for SayWeCanFly make the cut? Watch the interview to find out!

It only makes sense that Braden—someone who’s “always loved every sort of animal, whether it’s a cow or a pig”—is vegetarian. After all, the only difference between the animals we cuddle with and the animals who end up in “Happy Meals” is how we treat them. Did you know that pigs are smarter than most breeds of dog? They can also play video games (what?!) and are known for being curious and optimistic. By eating yummy meat-free meals, Braden saves the lives of more than 100 animals every year and helps save the planet. A staggering 51 percent or more of global greenhouse-gas emissions are caused by raising animals for food. If you care about the future of our planet (and the animals we share it with), try going vegan!
