Sace6 x peta2: Adopt Animals, Don’t Buy Them!

Sace6 has been dropping banger after banger, touring with nothing,nowhere., playing at Warped Tour, and solidifying their place in the scene. Now, there’s one more reason to add them to your playlist—they filmed a vid with us urging everyone to adopt animals, not buy them! 🤩

Being on tour with peta2 was a great learning experience, and I got to learn a lot about animal rights, speciesism, and everything else that peta2 stands for.—Sace from Sace6

So, what’s wrong with buying an animal? When you buy an animal from a “pet” store or breeder, two things happen:

1. A homeless animal misses out on a chance to be part of your family.

2. Another animal will be bred to replace the one you bought.

Most animals sold in “pet” stores were bred in facilities where they are forced to live in tiny, filthy cages. Many arrive at the stores sick, hurt, dying, or already dead. 😰 Buying an animal causes another to be bred into this miserable life and makes the overpopulation crisis even worse. There are millions of homeless animals in the U.S., and “pet” stores and breeders add to this number just to make $$$.

Here’s the good news: Adopting from a shelter helps decrease the number of homeless animals. Shelter staff don’t breed another animal once one is adopted—they keep giving homeless animals safety and comfort like the angels they are. 😇 Animals aren’t objects, they’re individuals with unique interests. We should treat them like family members, which is why we love Sace6 for spreading the “adopt, don’t shop” message. 💕
