Mission: Bo and Docker Are Trapped in a Lab—Help Save These Beagles!

Bo and Docker are 11-year-old beagles who are just like your companions in almost every way. They have thoughts and feelings and want love, attention, and affection. But unlike your dog at home, Bo and Docker are trapped in chain-link kennels in a cinder block room and never allowed outside. 😧

Workers said that some senior animals—like 11-year-old Bo, who suffered from neck pain and walked stiffly on bowed legs—would never be allowed to leave the facility for adoption.

Bo, Docker, and nearly 100 other dogs are imprisoned at High Quality Research (HQR) in Fort Collins, Colorado, to be used for experiments. When someone from PETA investigated the facility, they saw Bo suffering from neck pain and walking stiffly on bowed legs. The lab veterinarian admitted that he didn’t know what treatment Bo needed and apparently claimed that it would be too “expensive” to find out what was causing his pain.

The investigator also learned that Docker had hypothyroidism and saw a golf ball–sized mass on his neck. So many of his teeth had been pulled due to dental problems that his tongue flopped out of his mouth.

Both the lab’s president and veterinarian prevented the investigator’s repeated attempts to adopt Bo and this dog, Docker—who was 11 years old and missing many of his teeth—despite no longer using the two dogs for experiments.

HQR’s president and veterinarian shot down the investigator’s pleas to adopt Bo and Docker, saying that house-training them would be too hard. 😡 Sooo they care more about the investigator’s carpet than Bo and Docker’s well-being.
