Mission: Spread the Word—DON’T Swim With Dolphins

Picture this: Your fam is going on vacation, and your sibling is begging to swim with dolphins. What do you do? 🤔 If you care about dolphins, here’s why you should never take part in a “swim with dolphins” program.

Why You Shouldn’t Swim With Dolphins

Dolphins who are used for “swim with dolphins” programs may have been taken from their fams and ocean homes and sold to marine parks around the world. 😰🐬 Living in tiny tanks or lagoons is as hellish as it gets—the dolphins have nothing to do but swim in endless circles, and some die prematurely from the stress of confinement.

Dolphins also love to dive deep and swim up to 60 miles every day in the ocean—two things they can’t do when they’re trapped in tiny enclosures. 😞 Plus, “swim with dolphins” programs often force them to live with other dolphins they may not get along with, which can lead to fighting and painful, serious injuries. Some facilities even tear baby dolphins away from their mothers, who cry out for them. 😭

What You Can Do

Here’s the most important thing to remember: Dolphins’ lives are stolen from them when they’re used for entertainment. You can help prevent animals from suffering in confinement by never supporting a “swim with dolphins” program and by refusing to visit marine parks. Please help spread the word by following these steps. (You’ll score 15 peta2 points in our Rewards Program, FYI. 😏)

1. Post this “I Belong Here … Not Here” image on your IG story.
