We tried the vanilla cake and cookie ? dough. – – Holy Dough Balls, this is good!! It is a gazillion times better than Halo Top birthday cake flavor. And since Halo taste like play-doh, not hard to do!!! – – Although it is a long list, there is no wheat listed, so that’s great. Tofutti

Tofutti’s premium pints were the FIRST nondairy frozen dessert to be sold to the general public in grocery stores. These pioneers paved the way for animal lovers everywhere to enjoy fantastic dairy-free ice cream at home. Their pints come in several flavors, including Vanilla Almond Bark, Better Pecan, and Wild Berry Supreme. If you love ice cream sandwiches, Tofutti is your brand! It offers a variety of different flavors for ANY ice cream–sandwich lover.

This brand is also awesome because it offers fun novelty ice cream desserts with quirky names such as Marry Me, Hooray Hooray Bars, and Yours Truly, so eating these tasty concoctions is as fun as it is delicious.

So Delicious

The So Delicious brand—which can be found in many grocery stores across the country—offers ice cream made from soy milk, coconut milk, almond milk, and cashew milk (so basically, they have it all). Soy milk is a common staple for many people who avoid dairy foods. Consuming soy is known to improve brain function and help prevent cancer, and the antioxidants found in it may even benefit those who suffer from asthma. So Delicious uses this protein-packed bean to create ice cream sandwiches and decadent ice cream flavors.

So Delicious also offers coconut milk ice cream, and its coconut milk mini ice cream sandwiches have become a kind of obsession in the peta2 office. Coconut milk is a great source of calcium, vitamin B12, and vitamin D.

So Delicious creates powerful flavor profiles using almond milk. Almonds are a great source of protein, fiber, vitamin E, and calcium. In addition to all that, this nutty ingredient makes anything taste absolutely fantastic.

And we certainly can’t forget about So Delicious’ cashew milk ice cream flavors. In our humble opinion, these are some of the creamiest, most delicious ice cream pints on the market. Be sure to try them all, and let us know which is your favorite!

Soy Dream, Rice Dream, and Almond Dream

Using only organic ingredients, Soy Dream creates dreamy ice cream flavors to satisfy your cold cravings. In addition to pints, it offers vanilla ice cream sandwiches (called “Vanilla Lil’ Dreamers”).

Rice Dream offers a variety of pints, including Mint Carob Chip andCocoa Marble Fudge. When fortified, rice milk can be a great way to get calcium, vitamin B12, and vitamin D2.

The BEST part of Rice Dream, though, is its novelty items. It offers Rice Dream Bites, ice cream bars, and even frozen pies. The same goes for Almond Dream, which harnesses the power of almonds to create yummy pints, ice cream sandwiches, bars, and bites.

Coconut Bliss

Eating a spoonful of Coconut Bliss truly IS blissful, as it’s made from organic coconut milk. Coconut milk is naturally rich and creates a creamy texture that Coconut Bliss takes FULL advantage of.

Completely dedicated to the coconut, Coconut Bliss has a lengthy list of pints using this powerful ingredient. If coconut milk is YOUR fave, this brand is the one for you!

It ALSO offers scrumptious ice cream bars that even your most dairy-loving friend will go crazy for.

TCBYTutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt, Pinkberry, and MORE!

You can find sorbet (which is, of course, vegan!) at nearly ANY frozen yogurt or ice cream joint. At stores such as TCBY and Tutti Frutti, you can do one better and even enjoy soy-, almond-, and coconut-based vegan frozen yogurt. And Pinkberry has added more than two dozen rotating dairy-free yogurts to its roster.

Dippin’ Dots

Dippin’ Dots’ vegan Rainbow Ice flavor is the number two selling product at its thousands of locations worldwide. That makes sense, as it’s a delicious blend of fruity flavors like strawberry, orange, lemon, lime, and blue raspberry.

Dippin’ Dots are ice cream beads—created by flash-freezing the ingredients to lock in the freshness—that melt in your mouth. Check out all of Dippin’ Dots’ vegan flavors: Rainbow Ice, Liberty Ice, Black Ice, Sour Blue Razz, Orange Ice, Purple Ice, Blue Raspberry Ice, Lemon Ice, Lime Ice and Strawberry Ice.

 Talenti

Talenti offers up rich, creamy, milk-free flavors like Chocolate and Peanut Butter Fudge, and both are certain to satisfy any ice cream lover’s sweet tooth. The rest of Talenti’s Sorbettos are vegan-friendly, too, so you can grab the fruity flavors instead, if that’s what you’re into!

Breyers Non-Dairy

Vegans everywhere were ecstatic when we found out that Breyers released a nondairy flavor. This is a surefire sign that the dairy industry realizes that the future is vegan. If ya can’t beat ’em, join ’em … amirite?! Then we found out they released a SECOND nondairy flavor, and the internet lost it.

Trader Joe’s

{trader joe's soy creamy cherry chocolate chip ice cream} this is SO GOOD! I can't remember who recommended this to me, but I'm so glad I picked this up over the weekend because it's excellent. I'm lactose intolerant and honestly don't usually care, but figured if I could find a good vegan/lactose free ice cream, my stomach would thank me for it. this doesn't taste "vegan" or alternative in any way, surprised a bunch of friends who were expecting lackluster taste, contained plentiful, sizeable chunks of chocolate and cherry, and the only only only thing is that it's softer than regular ice cream, or melts pretty quickly, so if you like super frozen/hard ice cream then that's a small downside. recommend this! had anyone tried the vanilla version (heard not as good things) or the coconut ice creams? . . . #traderjoes #traderjoesinsider #traderjoeslist #instafood #foodstagram #food #traderjoesvegetarian #traderjoesvegan #traderjoesreview #traderjoesicecream #traderjoessoyicecream #traderjoessoycreamyicecream #icecream #soyicecream #soycreamyicecream #traderjoessoycreamy #traderjoessoycreamycherrychocolatechip #soycreamy #soycreamycherrychocolatechip

Double Rainbow

These scrumptious soy ice cream flavors are to die for—except no one had to: Blueberry, Mint Chocolate Chip, Vanilla Bean, and Very Cherry Chip. (Find these products.)

Halo Top

Halo Top carries seven vegan flavors (like caramel macchiato, chocolate covered banana AND cinnamon roll to name a few) that are all sure to have you coming back for more.

Aldi

That’s right! The grocery store, Aldi, is now sporting two dairy-free flavors —plain coconut, and coconut and chocolate.

Cado Avocado Ice Cream

This decadent non-dairy treat uses avocado as it’s base to create a rich and creamy texture full of heart healthy monounsaturated fat. #GuiltFree much?

DIY Ice Cream

You can even create your OWN vegan ice cream by blending together one frozen banana, one tablespoonful of peanut butter, and one teaspoonful of cocoa powder.

Now that you have access to the magical world of vegan ice cream, invite your friends along, too. The more people who discover how delicious dairy-free ice cream is, the fewer people who will feel the need to support the cruel dairy industry. Protect cows and eat tasty ice cream: Choose vegan.
