Today we have the latest installment of the Strhess Tour Diary, straight from Pete and the guys in Remembering Never. If you missed parts one and two, now’s your chance to catch up! Take it away Pete…
So, we’ll pick up in Cali. I met Alicia Silverstone in Real Food Daily (an amazing vegan restaraunt). She was super nice and still fine as ever. We went to California Vegan with our friend Mick from Rezistance Clothing and played the House of Blues in Anaheim. Our merch guy, Jeremy, got punched by a nazi skinhead and split his lip open during mosh time. Jeremy is Jewish, so we think it was a hate crime. Either way, he had to go to the ER and get stitches. The House of Blues had no sympathy when they were told how poor security was, and they banned us for not paying the merch rate (which was basically us paying to play). The next day we visited Metal Blade Records and they hooked us up with some free swag. I have too many damn Gwar DVDs. I lost five dollars gambling in Vegas. Omaha was great. We played the Ranch Bowl and bowled for 4 hours straight. Needless to say our little arms and fingers didn’t work the same. Cedar Rapids was fun too. Joilet, IL was a nightmare for us to play due to the promoter not knowing a damn thing that was going on. It was a fest with our tour, the Fear Factory tour, and the 2nd stage Ozzfest off-day bands. The best bands, in my opinion, were Walls of Jericho, Bleeding Through, Everytime I Die, Hatebreed, and Fear Factory. It was a long and stressful day. Speaking of stress, today was the Strhessfest in Cleveland, OH. It was a fun time. Playing at 1:30 in the afternoon, we were the first band to bring the mosh. We only have a few dates left. After this tour is over, we’re home for a few weeks, then we’re off on the road again with Unearth, Terror, and Black Dahlia Murder. Hopefully PETA2 will ask me to keep a journal for that tour as well and I’ll be able to send more entries. Thank you to everyone that read these. Kisses, we’ll see you soon.
