Many Starbucks fans are calling the new Hazelnut Mocha Coconutmilk Macchiato “Nutella inspired,” but they’re totally wrong in this comparison. Here’s why: Unfortunately, Nutella isn’t vegan, BUT this macchiato totally is!
There’s no special ordering, substitutions, or extra fee needed in order to make the beverage 100 percent free of animal-derived ingredients. Woohoo!
It’s easy to veganize many existing drinks on the menu by substituting an ingredient or two, but we’ve been asking Starbucks to create more beverages that use only vegan syrups and sauces to make ordering vegan even easier—and the coffee chain is listening.
This new drink is super-delicious. It combines sweet hazelnut syrup, coconut milk, and espresso, and it’s topped off with a yummy mocha sauce drizzle. You can get it either hot or iced.
If blended drinks are more your thing, check out our full list of vegan Frappuccinos.
So many #Starbucks #frappuccinos and Crème drinks can be made vegan! Ask for no whip, and get soy, almond, or coconut milk instead of cow's milk. No caramel drizzle and no pumpkin spice. Most everything else is vegan including mocha, vanilla, green tea, chai, cinnamon dolce, caramel (the syrup is vegan, NOT the drizzle), strawberries & crème, + more! Even if you're not #vegan, you can make an impact to reduce animal suffering just by making this minor adjustment when you buy your #coffee. ♡ #crueltyfreeliving #veganstarbucks
