Do you think that rabbits deserve to live peaceful and happy lives?

We thought so. Did you know that Maybelline pays for cruel tests on animals like rabbits? Experimenters rub chemicals onto their raw skin or drip harsh substances into their eyes. Giving them painkillers is not required. They suffer in isolation in barren cages, and they’re usually killed once the experiments are over.

Maybelline is putting profits over animal welfare by choosing to sell its products in China, where tests on animals are required for most cosmetics. Shame on you, Maybelline!

There are many test methods that have been approved for use internationally that don’t use any animals. PETA is pushing the Chinese government to accept these sophisticated alternatives to animal testing and supporting the training of Chinese scientists in their use. Still, until China changes its policy, animals need YOU to take action.

Here are just a few things that you can do to help animals who are needlessly suffering in cruel experiments:

1. Refuse to buy Maybelline products until the company stops selling in China.

2. Support only cruelty-free beauty brands, such as these:

wet n wild

NYX Cosmetics

Physicians Formula

Milani Cosmetics
