peta2’s 2025 Festival Recap: Animals Take Center Stage
peta2 was born at Warped Tour in the 2000s, so music is in our blood. 🎤 We love getting back to our roots by hitting the loudest festivals across the U.S. and inspiring crowd after crowd to speak up for animals. Check out these highlights from 2025 to see what we do at festivals and why you should stop by our tent:
warped tour d.c. (june 14-15, washington, d.c.)
Warped Tour is so back! At the first anniversary event in D.C., the lines to get in were massive, and crowds rushed the peta2 tent to take action for animals trapped at SeaWorld. The return of our beloved mascot, (Not A) Nugget, drew tons of attention and was celebrated with lots of dancing. We even met someone with a Nugget tattoo! A few long-time vegetarians shared their stories of ditching meat after meeting peta2 at Warped Tours in years past, and we talked to them about taking the next steps toward going vegan. Plus, we connected with nothing, nowhere. and Sace6, two of many certified animal-friendly artists.🤩

warped tour long beach (july 26-27, long beach, california)
Highlights from this PACKED festival included a signing at the peta2 tent with TX2, Tour Assistant Olivia taking the Warped Unplugged Stage to speak about her animal liberation journey, and photo ops with Nugget. Attendees spun our horoscope wheel to discover how saving animals was written in the stars for their sign, and scored holographic zodiac stickers along the way. The team also pushed back against the “bones love milk” presence 🤮 by distributing dairy-focused leaflets, then wrapped up the weekend with a fun giveaway of stickers and oracle cards that had the crowd swarming!

north coast music festival (august 29-31, bridgeview, illinois)
At North Coast, we partnered with SpiritHoods and gave away faux fur hoods to inspire attendees to make animal-friendly festival fashion choices. The hoods were a huge hit, and attendees who got them were deeply moved by conversations about vegan fashion, with many jumping in to spread the message themselves. The EDM crowd’s loving energy shone through as they gifted bracelets, sprouts, and tokens of appreciation. 🫶 We also gave merch and stickers to grateful artists, including Be Humane and Boss Dog t-shirts, mushroom socks, and UFO stickers.

four chord (september 13-14, pittsburgh, pennsylvania)
Four Chord had a nostalgic, high-energy feel with lots of elder emos reconnecting with peta2 from past shows (that’ll be you one day). Attendees shared heartfelt stories—from childhood experiences on farms to kids choosing compassion—and we chatted with Max Bemis, frontman of Say Anything, about eating vegan and our Wear Your Own Skin campaign.

riot fest (september 19-21, chicago, illinois)
Attendees at Riot Fest were excited to connect with us, take pictures in our “Sheep are counting on ewe—Go wool-free!” photo op, and learn about what’s wrong with the wool industry. We met music lovers who shared powerful personal stories with us about their animal-loving kids begging their parents to adopt (not shop!) and folks who were inspired to give going vegan another try. The tour team was joined by awesome local volunteers from the peta2 Street Team who helped make this weekend such a success!

all things go (september 26-28, columbia, maryland)
The crowd at All Things Go was eager to engage, with many already familiar with vegan leather and amped to talk about innovative materials they’d heard of, like banana peel and scoby leather! Curious and compassionate fans asked about brands and challenged their greenwashing tactics. With a lineup featuring Kesha, Doechii, and Noah Kahan, the blend of bangers and activism lasted all weekend.

warped tour orlando (november 15-16, orlando, florida)
Warped Tour was lively and nostalgic, with long lines, familiar faces, and families enjoying stickers while School of Rock kids played covers nearby the peta2 tent. Tour Crew Member Shannon’s heartfelt speech and poem drew cheers and snaps, and Nugget was the life of the party. By the end of the weekend, more than 3,000 fans had signed the petition urging SeaWorld to end its use of animals. It was the perf way to wrap up a festival-filled 2025!
